Alcudia is a town located in the northern part of the island of Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands off the east coast of Spain. Alcudia boasts a remarkable historic district characterized by Renaissance and ancestral homes, as well as ancient Roman archaeological sites. The old town is encircled by medieval walls dating back to the 14th century. Inside, you'll discover charming, picturesque alleys, two medieval gates, a handful of small museums, a beautiful church, and remnants of an ancient Roman town, including a Roman amphitheater from the 1st century BC. The town also hosts a variety of quaint cafes and restaurants. Nearby is Port d'Alcudia, a popular summer resort filled with numerous hotels and a plethora of restaurants surrounding the marina and stunning white-sand beaches. The port encompasses a large bay, with a lengthy beach extending to the resort of Can Picafort. In the distance, the marshland area of Albufera serves as a nature reserve. Cap de Formentor, a truly breathtaking location, is also in close proximity.
