Bormio is a town in the upper Valtellina region, in the province of Sondrio, and is a significant national mountain tourist destination in Italy. It is renowned for hosting the Alpine FIS World Championships in 1985 and more recently in 2005. Bormio is situated within the Stelvio National Park and is now a vibrant resort in both winter and summer. The town is indeed the perfect destination for sports enthusiasts: in winter, activities such as ice skating, snowboarding, and skiing are available, while in summer, visitors can challenge themselves with mountain biking, rock climbing, or enjoy more leisurely activities such as golf, fishing, or archery. For those who are solely interested in relaxation, the famous Bormio baths are perfect, where the main attraction is the thermal water from the Cinglaccia spring. From a culinary perspective, Bormio is undoubtedly a place to explore: the excellent bresaola, the spectacular "Bitto" and "homemade" cheeses, and fine wine are just some of the local products that should not be missed.
