Ferrara is a city and municipality in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy, and the capital city of the Province of Ferrara. The historic center of Ferrara was awarded this honor in 1995, being designated a "City of the Renaissance," "considering that the site is of outstanding universal value, being a Renaissance city, remarkably planned, which has retained its urban fabric virtually intact." Ferrara has many museums to visit, such as the National Archaeological Museum, the Museo dell'Ottocento, or the Jewish Museum, which showcases the life of the Jewish population that has been living in Ferrara for centuries. The city walls are a great place for a walk, allowing you to run along an almost uninterrupted 9 km of parks.
