Athens - Easter 2025 in the Capital of Olives

Day 1 - BUCHAREST – ATHENS – Optional participation in the Good Friday Procession

Arrival at Otopeni Airport at 14:00 to meet the group escort. Boarding the TAROM flight RO273 with departure from Bucharest at 16:40 and landing in Athens at 18:20. Transfer from the airport to the hotel. On Good Friday, optionally, you can participate in the Procession departing from the Athens Metropolitan Cathedral.

Day 2 - Panoramic city tour, with optional entrance to the Acropolis – Participation in the Easter Vigil in central Athens

Breakfast. Panoramic tour of Athens by coach: Omonia Square and the famous Constitution Square - Syntagma, the Parliament, the University, the Academy, the National Library, the Olympic Stadium, the venue of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Optional entrance to the Acropolis, with a presentation provided by a Greek guide fluent in Romanian (optional ticket: approx. 35 euros/person – details will be provided later, based on the decision of the Greek Ministry of Culture for the specified period). After the Acropolis tour, we recommend a pleasant walk from the Acropolis to the Monastiraki District, Plaka, and Syntagma Square, to watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony in front of the Hellenic Parliament building. In the evening, those interested can optionally attend the Easter Vigil at the Metropolitan Cathedral in central Athens.

Day 3 - ATHENS – Optional Excursion to southern Attica Peninsula and Cape Sounion, with lunch included

Breakfast. Optional excursion to the Attica Peninsula, south of Athens, and Cape Sounion, along the route: Athens - Cape Sounion, where the Aegean Sea is guarded by the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon (approx. 65 km). Lunch is included in the price of the optional excursion.

Day 4 - ATHENS – Optional Cruise in the Saronic Gulf

Breakfast. Optionally, we recommend a spectacular one-day cruise in the Saronic Gulf (Aegean Sea), visiting the islands of Aegina - stop with an optional visit (paid on the cruise ship) to the Monastery of Saint Nektarios and the Temple of Athena, Poros Island, and the famous Hydra Island, where numerous romantic, comedy, or adventure films have been shot.

Day 5 - ATHENS – Optional excursion to the Oracle of Delphi with lunch included – BUCHAREST

Breakfast. Optional excursion departing at 07:30, with check-out and luggage collection, accompanied by a Greek guide fluent in Romanian, along a spectacular route to the Oracle of Delphi, located just 150 km from Athens. The Oracle of Delphi was for hundreds of years a central point of Greek religion. The temple is situated in the Phokis region and was primarily dedicated to the god Apollo. The Oracle was consulted from ancient times on political or domestic matters and held significant prestige in the ancient Greek world. It is the ideal place to discover your future! Lunch is included as part of the excursion. For those not participating in this excursion, check-out is at 12:00, and luggage can be stored in the designated area at the hotel.

Transfer by coach to the airport for boarding the TAROM flight RO274 departing Athens at 19:10 and landing in Bucharest Otopeni at 20:45.
